MYKITA

Priding themselves in a self-contained network, research, and technology, MYKITA is the eyewear of the future. Founded in 2003 by Mortiz Krueger, Phillip Haffmans, Daniel Haffmans, and Harald Gottschling, all products are assembled byhand in their Berlin-based studio. In 2010 they introduced MYLON, a new polyamide-based material, that offers a wide range of designs due to its lightness, in addition, the material’s thermal adaptability allows the frames to be fully adjustable. MYKITA frames are created individually and without form-related restrictions by using the selective laser sintering (SLS) technique. Unused powder is then recycled for subsequent use, yielding a completely zero-waste production. This visionary label is not only environmentally aware, but also, ingeniously designed.
